Brodie Somerville

Growing up in a small village in eastern Ontario called Maynard, Brodie was exposed to the comfort and happiness provided by simple home cooked food sold at roadside chip trucks, this along with a constant supply of farm fresh produce from the neighbouring farms.

In 2008, Brodie discovered vegetarianism and veganism and has been on that path ever since.

Fast forward to 2019, after 3 years of work in fine dining but meat heavy restaurants, he decided to open something that would allow him to bring the techniques and ingredients he discovered in those restaurants and translate them to plants and the comfort food he grew up on.

Pair these skills and beliefs with an insatiable drive to learn and improve every aspect of his work and that is what you see today on the menu at Maynard! Fast food where every detail has been poured over behind the scenes in order to present the best possible product to the eater whether it is in the restaurant or at home.
